McDonagh will skate Wednesday and practice Thursday before the team decides on his status for Friday's game. Coach Alain Vigneault noted that team trainers wouldn't allow McDonagh to return to the lineup until he was deemed 100 percent healthy, so it's far from a given that he'll give clearance to play over the weekend.
