The Colorado Avalanche doctors may have cleared forward Alex Tanguay to play in Tuesday night's game against the Arizona Coyotes, but he'll sit the game out according to head coach Patrick Roy.

Tanguay was struck in the face with an Alex Ovechkin slapshot and suffered a fractured jaw on Nov. 21.

Tanguay continues to feel pain on the side of his head where the puck hit him and has blurred vision.

Mike Chambers reports Tanguay will be the only scratch on the one-game road trip.
