VIDEO: Former junior teammates collide as Predators' Ellis levels Oilers' Hall
Careful, Taylor Hall - Ryan Ellis knows your tricks.
Hall and Ellis won back-to-back Memorial Cup championships as teammates on the Windsor Spitfires before they were drafted into the NHL, which is probably where Ellis learned how to read Hall's shifty moves with the puck.
Hall was unable to fool Ellis with a toe-drag in the third period of Wednesday's game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Nashville Predators, allowing Ellis to line him up for a massive hit.
Ellis is generously listed at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, while Hall is at least three inches taller and over 20 pounds heavier. The big collision doesn't appear to have damaged the friendship they forged in their junior days.
Hall tapped Ellis on the pads as he skated off the ice after that hit. Buddies.
