Washington Capitals forward Jason Chimera may not have to don a mask this Halloween.
During the first period of Wednesday's game against the Detroit Red Wings, Chimera was on the wrong end of a hard hit that appeared to do quite a bit of damage to his nose.

Chimera briefly left the game, but later returned to the ice, bent nose and all.
There's something about those hockey players, as they say.
