Report: Hurricanes' Staal hopes to return Tuesday vs. Canucks

The injury ravaged Carolina Hurricanes should get a boost this upcoming week when captain Eric Staal returns to the lineup.

Staal, who sustained a lower body injury two weeks ago and hasn't played since, hopes to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

For the winless Hurricanes, who are struggling enormously to score goals in the early going, Staal's return can't come soon enough.
