Bruins, Red Wings play 'O Canada' in support of Ottawa; Flames pay tribute to fallen soldiers

The Boston Bruins continued what the Pittsburgh Penguins started on Wednesday as anthem singer Rene Rancourt performed "O Canada" before Thursday's game against the New York Islanders.

The Bruins also held a moment of silence on Thursday night in a show of support for Ottawa after Wednesday's attacks in Canada's capital.

In Calgary, the Flames paid tribute to Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, who was killed while guarding the National War Memorial in Ottawa, and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who was killed in Quebec earlier this week.

Detroit Red Wings anthem singer Karen Newman also performed "O Canada" before Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
