Goaltender Thomas Greiss will make his first regular-season start for the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings.
The Penguins announced the decision over Twitter, also confirming it would be the only lineup change from their previous game.
Pittsburgh is 3-2-0 with Marc-Andre Fleury in net for their first five contests of the year, during which Fleury posted a 2.81 goals-against average and .906 save percentage.
Fleury and Greiss are both slated to become unrestricted free agents at the end of the season.
