After Anton Khudobin played respectably in the Hurricanes' last two games against the Rangers and Jets, Ward may need a strong showing of his own Thursday to ensure that a timeshare remains in place. Ward, who hasn't played since Oct. 14, was terrible in his first two turns of the season, posting a horrendous .846 save percentage in losses to the Islanders and Sabres.
