The Washington Capitals have assigned forward Tom Wilson to the AHL's Hershey Bears, the team announced Monday.
Wilson missed all of training camp and the first five games of the season due to a broken ankle suffered this past summer.
The 20-year-old registered 10 points (three goals, seven assists) and 151 penalty minutes in 82 games with the Capitals last season, and is expected to make his 2014-15 season debut this weekend with the Bears.
