Los Angeles Kings (and Corsi-friendly) defenseman Jake Muzzin remains sidelined with an upper-body injury suffered in the preseason, and is awaiting medical clearance in order to return to the lineup.

"(Muzzin) will get his X-ray on whatever his three-week date is, and go from there," head coach Darryl Sutter told Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider. "He looks fine, but it hasn’t changed in terms of the same thing we said before. It’s not coaches making the decision or a player making the decision. Doctors are going to [make the decision], so just wait."

According to that timeline, Muzzin would be scheduled for another look from doctors on Oct. 23. If cleared, he could be eligible to return to the lineup that night against the Buffalo Sabres.
