The Minnesota Wild played two games and two periods without surrendering a goal this season. Wild goaltender Darcy Kuemper, in net for every minute played this season, broke a franchise record held by current teammate Niklas Backstrom in the process:

The Wild finally allowed a goal in the third period of their game against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night, ending Kuemper's shutout streak at 163 minutes and 46 seconds. The 6-foot-5, 24-year-old puck stopper is off to a reasonably good start to his 2014-15 campaign.
