Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk isn't ready to test his injured shoulder, and as a result won't be joining the team for their game on Wednesday against the Boston Bruins.
Datsyuk, who hasn't made his season debut, ruled himself out of the lineup for Wednesday, Ansar Khan of Mlive reports. As a result, head coach Mike Babcock will have to continue to juggle his top line.
"It's going to be another tough matchup," goaltender Jimmy Howard said. "I think it's using our team speed and just trying to work them as hard and long as possible in the offensive zone."
Datsyuk separated his shoulder on Sept. 22 in a preseason game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
