Report: Bruins expected to give Simon Gagne official contract

The Boston Bruins are drawing up a contract for Simon Gagne, according to Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer. 

Gagne is currently with the team on a tryout basis but is not on the roster or eligible to play until the team determines a cap figure. 

Boston's cap issues have been well-documented all summer, a position that most recently forced the trade of defenseman Johnny Boychuk to the New York Islanders.
