Jets' Budaj injures hand in 1st appearance for AHL affiliate

Winnipeg Jets goaltender Peter Budaj suffered a hand injury in his first game for the St. John's IceCaps on Friday night.

Budaj later returned to the bench.
He was acquired from the Montreal Canadiens last Sunday for winger Eric Tangradi.
The veteran netminder was assigned to the AHL affiliate Tuesday.
