Cedrick Desjardins won't open the season with the New York Rangers, but will he ever fit in if he eventually gets the call.
The Rangers assigned the 29-year-old goalie to Hartford after Desjardins cleared waivers Monday, but not before he commissioned mask painter David Leroux to immortalize New York legends Derek Jeter and Frank Sinatra on his bucket.
