Dallas Stars head coach Lindy Ruff updated the status of goaltender Kari Lehtonen, who suffered a concussion during Monday's preseason game against the Florida Panthers.

“To me, Kari seems pretty good today," said Ruff, according to Mark Stepneski of the team's official website. "I am not a doctor and I don’t play one on TV, but I think we are basically out of the woods in that situation. Just have to give the mandatory couple of days.”

While Lehtonen's concussion was described as "mild," a brain injury is a brain injury and the Stars will no doubt go through the proper channels to ensure he's back to full health before stepping back on the ice, especially considering he suffered a similar injury back in March.

As such, Anders Lindback will get the start Tuesday against his old team, the Tampa Bay Lightning.
