Maple Leafs' Franson has bruised knee, will be further evaluated Monday

When Toronto Maple Leafs defender Cody Franson left the ice after crashing awkwardly into the end boards during preseason action on Sunday night, the worst was understandably feared.
Luckily, for both the Maple Leafs and for Franson - a productive, pending unrestricted free agent - the injury doesn't appear to be too serious:
Franson has bruised knee. Team just waiting on swelling to go down.

Despite the seemingly innocuous nature of the injury, the club didn't provide the media with a timeline for his return, and he'll be evaluated further on Monday evening.
