Russell LaBounty / USA TODAY Sports
Calgary Flames forward Mikael Backlund has been dealing with an abdominal strain throughout the beginning of camp and was expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.
He might miss some extra time, though, and it's concerning head coach Bob Hartley. "I don't have any news to tell you, but I'm worried," he told NHL.com Monday.
Backlund is listed as day-to-day by the team and remains off-ice while he rehabs his injury.
Backlund had a career year last season, tallying 39 points In 76 games.
