After two seasons touring the east coast, Jarome Iginla settled his roots in the Rocky Mountains this summer and is wasting little time getting acclimated.

The newly-minted Colorado Avalanche winger scored a goal and an assist during Sunday's intra-squad game, beaming afterwards about the rapport he's developing with Matt Duchene and Ryan O'Reilly.

"I enjoyed it a lot," Iginla told the Denver Post. "I think there's some real good chemistry. I've been here about a month now, and although training camp just started a few days ago, it feels like it's been a few weeks now because guys got together early.

"I like playing with Dutchy (Duchene) and Factor (O'Reilly). They're skilled, they're quick and they create a lot. You can tell they've played together a lot, because they have great chemistry, and I just want to add to it."

Forget chemistry: the trio appears primed to ignite this season. Iginla, O'Reilly and Duchene combined to score 81 goals last year.
