The Los Angeles Kings will be without their best player when the reigning champions hit the ice to open camp Friday.

Doughty reportedly suffered the injury during offseason training "a few weeks ago," per LA Kings Insider.

Now entering his seventh season with the Kings, Doughty scored 18 points in 26 postseason games as Los Angeles captured its second Cup in three seasons last spring.
