Philadelphia Flyers center Claude Giroux exited the team's first practice of training camp after sustaining a lower-body injury, according to general manager Ron Hextall.

The Hart Trophy finalist reportedly skated for just 15 minutes before leaving to be evaluated by the Flyers' medical staff, NHL.com reports.

Giroux tallied 86 points last season, ranking behind only Sidney Crosby and Ryan Getzlaf.
