The Colorado Avalanche have never bothered to show a preseason game on television since the team moved from Quebec City nearly two decades ago, but that is about to change this season.

The Avalanche will televise the team's preseason game against the Montreal Canadiens on September 26 on Altitude. The game will be played at the Colisee in Quebec City, where the Nordiques played before moving to Colorado.

The Colisee is also where Colorado coach Patrick Roy earned his stripes behind the bench with the QMJHL's Quebec Remparts.
