Senators, Borowiecki agree to terms on 3-year, $3.3-million contract extension

The Ottawa Senators and defenseman Mark Borowiecki agreed to terms on a three-year, $3.3-million contract extension, the team announced Monday.

The 25-year-old, drafted in the fifth round of the 2008 NHL Draft, appeared in 13 games for the Senators in 2013-14, scoring one goal and registering 48 penalty minutes.
As per Capgeek, Borowiecki is entering the final year of a two-year contract with the club, and it set to earn $575,000 this season.
The Senators now have eight defensemen under contract for 2014-15.
