Penguins sign Kasperi Kapanen to 3-year, entry-level contract
The Pittsburgh Penguins locked up their first-round pick from the 2014 NHL Draft to a three-year, entry-level contract on Friday.

Kapanen, son of long-time NHLer Sami Kapanen, was the highest ranked European skater heading into the draft, according to Central Scouting.

Chosen with the 22nd pick, Kapanen posted seven goals and 14 points in 47 games with KalPa Kuopio of the SM-liiga in 2013-14.
