Tlusty has signed a one-year, $2.95 million deal to stay with the Hurricanes, the Raleigh News & Observer reports.

Analysis:

The 26-year-old winger notched 23 goals and 38 points in 48 games for the Hurricanes during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season, but his production dipped last year to just 16 goals and 30 points in 68 games. Now that he has re-upped, Tlusty will have a chance to engineer a bounce-back campaign with Carolina.
