The Montreal Canadiens have signed Czech Republic free-agent forward Jiri Sekac to a two-year deal as announced by the team Tuesday.
Sekac was reportedly pursued by more than a dozen teams at the beginning of the month. The right winger had 28 points through 47 games played with Prague Lev of the KHL last season.
