Los Angeles Kings defenseman Robyn Regehr will not play in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final despite reportedly being given medical clearance to rejoin Darryl Sutter's lineup, according to ESPN's Arash Markazi.
Since sustaining a knee injury in Game 1 of the Kings' second-round series with the Anaheim Ducks, the veteran rearguard has been on the mend, working towards reaching appropriate fitness.
Remarkably healthy through 21 grueling postseason games, the Kings now boast formidable insurance at the back end.
