The Toronto Maple Leafs signed 20-year-old goaltender Antoine Bibeau to an entry-level contract, as per the team's official website.
Bibeau was named the Outstanding Goaltender of the 2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup and was also selected to the tournament’s All-Star Team; in four games for QMJHL’s Val-d’Or Foreurs, he made 178 saves for a .932 save percentage with one shutout.
Prior to that, Bibeau became the first goaltender since fellow Maple Leaf Jonathan Bernier in 2007 to be awarded the Guy Lafleur trophy as the QMJHL playoff’s Most Valuable Player, posting a .913 save percentage en route to a QMJHL President’s Cup championship.
Bibeau was drafted by the Maple Leafs in the sixth round (172nd overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
