Mason (upper body) could return for Sunday's Game 2 against the Rangers, TSN.ca reports.

Analysis:

After suffering a head injury last Saturday, Mason missed Thursday's 4-1 loss in Game 1. He practiced Friday and said he feels better, but an official determination has not been made regarding his status. "I felt pretty good for being on the ice for the first time in a couple of days. It was a good step," Mason said of Friday's practice. "I felt great movement-wise. It was a pretty controlled setting and it felt good." In Mason's absence Thursday, veteran Ray Emery made 32 saves. He's expected to be in goal if Mason is ruled out for Game 2.
