Toews (upper body) says he feels "really good" and is expected to play in the Hawks' playoff opener Thursday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis:
Toews sounded pretty sure that he will be a go Thursday, and also stressed that he doesn't think the injury caused him to lose anything. With the Hawks' captain seemingly ready to go, the bigger question mark will be teammate Parick Kane (knee), who is less certain to play Thursday. Chicago will likely need both stars to play and stay healthy to make another deep playoff run.
