Jonathan Bernier: Diagnosed With Low-Grade Muscle Strain
Bernier has been diagnosed with a low-grade muscle strain in his groin, Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports.
Analysis:
Coach Randy Carlyle seemed rather optimistic about Bernier's outlook, suggesting the goalie was "closer to day-to-day than week-to-week" with the injury. The Leafs will probably roll with James Reimer or emergency call-up Drew MacIntyre for their next two games Tuesday and Wednesday, but Bernier could be an option by the weekend, depending on how he recovers from the muscle strain.
