Kuznetsov expected to make Capitals debut Monday vs. Penguins
Evgeny Kuznetsov will make his Capitals debut Monday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, according to Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington.
The 21-year old has played in North America before, however, appearing in three World Junior tournaments for Russia which were hosted in Saskatoon (2010), Buffalo (2011) and Calgary/Edmonton (2012). In 20 games over the course of those tournaments, Kuznetsov registered 12 goals and 14 assists.
Kuznetsov is scheduled to participate in his first practice with the Capitals on Sunday.
