The Minnesota Wild - who were rumoured to be in on deals for Martin Brodeur and Jaroslav Halak - have found their goaltender. And, yes, it's a humongous big deal.

The Wild acquired puck stopper Ilya Bryzgalov from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a 4th-round pick at the 2014 NHL entry draft.

Bryzgalov posted a .908 save percentage with the Oilers so far this season, which is respectable, albeit somewhat below average. Bryzgalov's presence in Edmonton was made superfluous by the Oilers deal to acquire Viktor Fasth, formerly of the Anaheim Ducks.
