PHOTO: Blackhawks' Raanta to honor Ed Belfour with eagle mask
Blackhawks goalie Antti Raanta showed off the pads he'll be wearing during Chicago's outdoor Stadium Series game against the Penguins on March 1 earlier this month. He showed off his mask on Sunday, which many will recognize:

Yep, Raanta's going with the Ed Belfour look. Belfour, who was known as "Eddie the Eagle" throughout his Hall of Fame career, rocked the eagle on his mask for as long as he played. In Chicago, Toronto, Dallas, and Florida.

Belfour won a cup with the Stars, but is remembered as a Blackhawk. That's where his career began, and where he twice won 40 or more games in a season.
Raanta's unlikely to play during the outdoor game on the weekend, but he's going to look good, and, let's face it, when you're a backup goalie, that's all that matters.
Here's hoping he wears his mask while he's on the bench. It'd be a shame for it to go to waste.
