Flames D Kris Russell's contract extension actually worth $2.6M per season
The Calgary Flames signed defenseman Kris Russell to a two-year contract extension on Saturday and it was originally reported that the deal was worth $2.26M per season.
However, it is being reported now that the contract is actually worth $2.6M per year, making it a $5.2M extension.
BTW, Kris Russell's AAV on his 2-year extension with CGY is $2.6M. It was originally reported in the release as $2.26M but it is $2.6M.
