VIDEO: Canadiens F Prust catches Devils F Janssen with nasty uppercut
In the first period of Wednesday night's game between the Montreal Canadiens and the New Jersey Devils, Devils enforcer Cam Janssen levelled Canadiens skilled forward Alex Galchenyuk. Moments later Galchenyuk's linemate Brandon Prust took exception to the hit, and stood up for his teammate by fighting Janssen.
Though it was a mostly even bout, early in the fight Brandon Prust landed this nasty uppercut to Janssen's chin:
That punch looks painful as anything but arguably Janssen actually got a bit lucky. After all if you were to get tagged by an uppercut like that in Mortal Kombat you'd go flying off of a bridge and hurtle towards a deadly bed of spikes below...
This was the fifth fight between Janssen and Prust in their respective NHL careers. The two enforcers also fought on at least two occasions as junior aged players in the Ontario Hockey League.
