Kyle Wellwood announces retirement from professional hockey
Kyle Wellwood has announced his retirement from professional hockey, according to a report out of Switzerland.

Wellwood claimed, his heart wasn't in it anymore. Will fly home as early as tomorrow.

The 30-tear old was drafted in the fifth round of the 2001 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, and scored 92 goals and 143 assists in 489 career NHL games.
Wellwood has most recently been playing in Switzerland, registering one goal and two assists in nine games for EV Zug.
