GIF: Avalanche F Downie hits Predators D Josi high; gets mauled by Weber

Avalanche forward Steve Downie launched himself into a hit that knocked Predators defenseman Roman Josi out of the game midway through the second period of Colorado's 3-1 victory Friday.

Downie connected high with Josi, who was corralling the puck in the corner, before being roughed up by Gabriel Bourque and Nashville captain Shea Weber.

Weber received a double-minor for roughing on the play. Downie was not penalized.
