Malcolm Subban lets in eight goals vs. Red Wings
Malcolm Subban is a very young goalie with a very bright future. However, he had faced the first real challenge of his professional career tonight.
Subban let in 8 goals tonight as his Boston Bruins fell to the Detroit Red Wings by a score of 8-2.
The good news for Subban is that this was a preseason game, even better news is that he stopped all 12 shots against the Montreal Canadiens earlier in the week.
Subban is not expected to make the Bruins' roster this year as Chad Johnson and Niklas Svedberg are competing for the back up spot.
Either way, it's good for Subban to get two of his biggest moments out of the way in one week - the pressure of playing his brother in Montreal, and the first time he got shelled.
I think he'll be fine.
