Montreal Canadiens forward Christian Dvorak won't make his 2023-24 season debut until November, general manager Kent Hughes announced Wednesday.

Dvorak played his last game of the 2022-23 campaign on March 7 and underwent season-ending knee surgery one week later. He was initially expected to make a full recovery before the start of the new season.

The 27-year-old put up 10 goals and 28 points in 64 games during his second season in Montreal.

Dvorak has two years remaining on his current pact at a cap hit of $4.45 million.

The Canadiens acquired Dvorak from the Arizona Coyotes in September 2021 in exchange for a 2022 first-round pick and a 2024 second-rounder.

Dvorak has amassed 88 goals and 207 points in 422 career NHL games split between the Habs and Coyotes.
