The cover appears to feature Ed Staniowski, who played for the St. Louis Blues from 1975-81 before making his way North to play for the Winnipeg Jets.
Is it the worst hockey magazine cover ever? Nope. We're going to go ahead and say it's actually pretty awesome, and today's hockey world could stand to benefit from more of this kind of creativity.
