Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher is week-to-week after suffering a fractured thumb during Monday's 3-2 overtime win over the Edmonton Oilers, head coach Dominique Ducharme said, according to Sportsnet's Eric Engels.

An Oilers player tipped Alexander Romanov's shot, and it hit Gallagher in the hand during the first period.

Gallagher ranks second on the Canadiens in goals (14) and third in points (23) this season. He leads the team with a 60.67 Corsi For percentage at five-on-five.
