Ducks send Sprong to Capitals

The Washington Capitals traded defenseman Christian Djoos to the Anaheim Ducks in return for forward Daniel Sprong, the Capitals announced on Monday.
Anaheim acquired Sprong from the Pittsburgh Penguins midway through last season. He appeared in 47 games and recorded 19 points in 2018-19.
This year, however, the 22-year-old only suited up for eight NHL games while logging 39 appearances for the AHL's San Diego Gulls.
Djoos, 25, played in two games for the Capitals this season.
