Tracey excelled in his first full season of major junior hockey, finishing third on the Warriors in points and second in goals. He spent the previous campaign playing Triple-A.
Ranked 21st among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting ahead of the draft, Tracey is creative with the puck, has a good shot, and is willing to go to the dirty areas to score goals. He may not have one offensive trait that stands out above the rest, but he's intelligent and mature for his age.
What they're saying
"Tracey's skating for me is so-so with a stride that lacks power and breaks down. He has enough speed to skate with pros but not challenge them. Some scouts like it and think when his lanky frame fills out, he'll be fine; but for me, he lacks that extra gear." - The Athletic's Corey Pronman
