Harley entered the draft as the 11th-ranked North American skater and second-ranked defenseman. He possesses a promising offensive skill set, and his 58 points for the Steelheads ranked eighth among OHL blue-liners with every player ahead of him on the list already being drafted to the NHL.
He's a strong skater with smart instincts. If he fills out and continues to develop the defensive side of his game, he could turn into a real strong piece for the Stars.
What they're saying
"When he was on the ice, his team had control of the puck. He's big, mobile, skilled, and smart. That combination is attractive. Harley skates with the quickest forwards in the OHL due to the strength of his stride and his wingspan. He can jump up into the attack. He's good with the puck, showing some creativity and good vision, at times very good. Defensively, he's a bit of a work in progress." - The Athletic's Corey Pronman.
