A potential top-six forward at the NHL level, the Mississauga Steelheads forward owns size and speed at the center position, and is projected as a top pick in this year's draft. The hulking middleman is also among the best skaters of his class.

After putting up 20 points in as many games during the 2016-17 postseason, McLeod continued to build on that production this year, climbing to more than a point per game as he wrapped the season with 26 goals and 44 assists in 68 games.

For teams looking for that pedigree pick, McLeod brings the hockey bloodlines, as his brother, Michael, was a first-round pick of the New Jersey Devils in 2016. That up-close look at the pro game could give McLeod a leg up on this year's draft class.

"One of the most fascinating players in this draft class," stated Sportsnet's Sam Cosentino. "At this point, the parts are greater than the sum. If and when it all comes together, you have a player who should impact the game at the next level."
