The Carolina Hurricanes released a statement Sunday, showing support for captain Jordan Staal and his wife Heather after the passing of their infant daughter Hannah.
Staal did not dress for the Hurricanes' games on Friday or Saturday, and has not commented on the situation.
There's no word yet on his status with the team moving forward.
