The Vegas Golden Knights acquired forward Tomas Tatar from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a 2018 first-round pick, a 2019 second-rounder, and a 2021 third-round pick, the team announced Monday.
Tatar has three seasons remaining on his contract and carries a $5.3-million cap hit. His departure results in a huge haul for the Red Wings, who now have two picks in each of the first four rounds of the upcoming draft.
The 27-year-old has 16 goals and 12 assists in 62 games this season.
