The Winnipeg Jets, Nashville Predators, and Tampa Bay Lightning are among the teams showing "strong interest" in Edmonton Oilers forward Patrick Maroon, according to Fox Sports Midwest's Andy Strickland.
It was reported Sunday that as many as seven teams had contacted the Oilers regarding Maroon.
The trade speculation surrounding the 29-year-old had the Oilers make him a healthy scratch Sunday against the Anaheim Ducks.
After putting up a respectable 27 goals and 42 points last season, Maroon has struggled to replicate those numbers, with 14 goals and 30 points in 57 games this season.
