In what was already an emotional scene, Golden Knights defenseman Deryk Engelland - who has longstanding roots in the city of Las Vegas - delivered a moving speech to fans and players at T-Mobile Arena prior to puck drop Tuesday.
If that wasn't enough, Engelland wired home a slap shot for the club's second goal just over four minutes into the opening frame.
